Our Regional Towns, Cities and Travel Corridors

Overview: The metro region of Halifax (population ~ 500,000) is about an hour south of Truro (population ~ 15,000). Truro is the largest nearby small city for residents of Pugwash, Tatamagouche, and River John (all with pops < 1000), as well as residents of many rural hamlets and villages. Pictou/New Glasgow together are nearly as large as Truro.

Every region will have its own specific characteristics and habits; every region needs hand-crafting by someone knowledgeable about the region. See Defining "Rural" for more information.
